This weekend New Orleanians celebrate San Fermin in Nueva Orleans. Also known as the Running of the Bulls in New Orleans, this annual NOLA event features an Encierro (bull run) that replicates and pays homage to the world famous Encierro of Pamplona, Spain. Only there’s a key difference between the Running of the Bulls in Spain and the Running of the Bulls in New Orleans: the bulls themselves. Here in New Orleans the bulls are members of the Big Easy Rollergirls, along with lucky participants from other roller derby leagues across the country.
San Fermin in Nueva Orleans is open to the public, but registration is mandatory for access to the festival itself, which includes air conditioning, entertainment, bars, food and much more! VIP registration also includes gear, open bar, and more AC! Click here to register for the San Fermin in Nueva Orleans 2014 as an individual or as team.
